Worship music

FARMINGTON – Sparrow’s Song, a Christian youth chorus, will perform as part of the worship service at the Fairbanks Union Church at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 21.

The young people are from Farmington and surrounding towns and are part of the Youth Connection of Mission at the Eastward. They have recently returned from a performance tour in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Country Sunday

JAY – The annual Spring Country Sunday, sponsored by Maine Country Music Association, will be held from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at the Jay Community Building.

Performers will include LeBlanc Family Band, Travis and Randy Pinkham, the Fugitives, the Two of Us, Barry Wood, the Crosby’s, Bobby Thibodeau/Ray Paul, Patrick Libby, and featuring Merle Record on steel guitar.

There will be refreshments, 50/50 raffle and door prize. Performers are subject to change without notice. For more information, call Bing Crosby at 645-2472.

Open house

LIVERMORE FALLS – An open house honoring the Rev. Joseph Chamberland will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at Eaton Memorial United Methodist Church.

Chamberland has been pastor of the Livermore Falls church and the Livermore United Methodist Church in Livermore for eight years. He will leave his position at the end of June.

“This event is open to anyone who has been blessed by Joe’s wonderful spirit,” said Livermore Falls church member Pam Newton.
