Easter musical

CANTON – A special Easter musical, “He is Alive,” will be presented at 7 p.m. Monday, April 10, at Canton Baptist Church, Route 108. Doug Mosher is the director of the three-area Baptist Church event. The program will be repeated at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at the Livermore Falls Baptist Church. The public is invited.

Circle to meet

RUMFORD – St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, in the parish center. Members are asked to bring baby clothes or donations, which will be sent to Holy Family Birth Center in Weslaco, Texas. Serving on the Refreshment Committee will be Pat Gautreau, Pierrette Gagnon, Jane Gaisson and Mary Politis.

School news

WEST PARIS – Fourth-graders of Agnes L. Gray School will attend the spring concert of the Portland Symphony Orchestra on Tuesday, April 11. Every Friday there will be field hockey from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. at the school, directed by Dawn Davis.

School vacation will be the week of April 17 plus a teacher’s workshop on Monday, April 24. Students will return to school on Tuesday, April 25. Every Tuesday the Good News Club meets at 3:15 p.m. at the school after School Explorers; Monday, music; Tuesday, arts and crafts, Wednesday, choose an activity; Thursday, science; Friday, claymation and a movie.

Blood drive

RUMFORD – An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from noon to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at the Eagles hall, 13 Oxford Ave.
