Thursday, April 1, at 6:30 p.m., Maundy Thursday service; Friday, April 2, from noon to 8 p.m., Good Friday prayer vigil, sign up by calling Peggy at 388-2074; Saturday, April 3, 5:30 p.m., cookbook recipes supper; Sunday, April 4, 7 a.m., Easter sunrise service and breakfast, 9 a.m. Easter Sunday service.
NORWAY — A community dinner and resource fair, sponsored by Oxford County Domestic Violence Task Force, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at the Second Congregational Church, Main Street. PARIS — A Chinese auction will be held Saturday, April 24, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, South Paris. Proceeds will benefit Responsible Pet Care of Norway.
Bidding will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and winners will be drawn at 6:30. Tickets are $5, $10 and $20 and there will be bonus tickets. There will be more than 300 items. Food and refreshments will be available.
BRYANT POND — Ruff, local emergency management director and long-time fireman in Bryant Pond, will be the guest speaker at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at the Whitman Memorial Library. His program will feature smoke detectors for the hard of hearing, how they work and how to get one. The public is invited and light refreshments will be served.
LOCKE MILLS — A supper-dance will be held from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at the American Legion Hall. Music will be by the Richard Felt Orchestra. Doors will open at 4 p.m. Cost is adults, $10; children, $3.
WATERFORD — Socrates Café will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 5, at the Waterford Library. The group offers a forum to discuss current topics and ideas in a friendly atmosphere, where divergent views will be welcome.

HARTFORD — Hartford Community Church Clothing Center – The Clothing Center will have a bag sale from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17. The center is located on Church Street opposite the Hartford Community Church.
PARIS — A roast pork public supper will be sponsored by the Paris Fire Department Auxiliary at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at the Paris Fire Station, Western Avenue, South Paris. Cost is adults, $7; ages 4 to 12, $4; ages 3 and under, free. There will be a 50/50 raffle.
