LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens will offer a cooking class on “Cooking for One or Two People” at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, at the Multi-Purpose Center. The presenter will be Denise Dill, community cooking educator with St. Mary’s Nutrition Center of Maine. The class will include participation by those in attendance as well as food tasting.
The class is open to the public and participants should preregister by Thursday, March 4. Cost is $3 for Lewiston Senior Citizens members and $5 for nonmembers. To register, call 784-2926, ext. 207.
LEWISTON — Community Credit Union, 144 Pine St., will offer a free identity theft seminar at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 9. Adrian Kendall, attorney for Norman, Hanson and DeTroy, will present the “Three D’s of Identity Theft: Deter, Detect and Defend.”
The seminar and dinner will be offered at no cost but preregistration is required by calling Kim Polley at Community Credit Union at 783-2096, ext. 209.
New Auburn seniors
AUBURN — The New Auburn Senior Citizens will resume their meetings on Wednesday, March 10. Members should note the date change, due to illness. The meeting is for members only and the first open meeting for bingo will be Wednesday, March 24.

BOWDOIN — The Bowdoin Historical Society will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at the FHC Building. Guest speakers will be Bill Barr and Al and Dottie Smith, who will discuss the history of the Lisbon Historical Society. Society members are requested to bring an item for the refreshment table. The public is welcome, as are those desiring to become members of the Bowdoin Historical Society.
