Bottle drive

LEWISTON — Cub Scouts Pack 116 will hold a bottle drive during March. Cub scouts will collect bottles and cans before each Mass at the following churches:

Saturday and Sunday, March 13 and 14, there will be a trailer outside of St. Peter’s Basilica; March 20 and 21, Holy Family Church; March 27 and 28, Holy Cross Church.

Grange program

DANVILLE — Danville Junction Grange 65 will observe CWA Night on Thursday, March 11, beginning with a 6 p.m. supper. The evening, arranged by the Committee on Women’s Activities, will start at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Julie Poulin, who will speak on The Opportunity Farm in New Gloucester. Women’s History Month will also be observed. All members and guests are welcome.

Travelers meeting

AUBURN — Twin City Council 160 of the United Commercial Travelers of America will hold a dinner meeting at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 13, at the Village Inn Restaurant. Officers for the ensuing year will be installed with Cynthia Larrabee of Mechanic Falls being installed as senior counselor.

DAR to meet

WALES — Regent Sheila Desgrosseilliers has announced that Burnt Meadow Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 13, at the Wales Grange Hall, 322 Centre Road. Following the business meeting, a program on the history of the Grange Hall and its rehabilitation will be presented. Violet Gerber will provide refreshments. For more information, call 777-3125.

Cribbage play

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on March 4 were as follows: first, Anita Cusson and Roger Labbe; second, Steve Agurkis and Gary David; third, Sue Dunlap and Gene Brown; fourth, Claire Jean and Terry Chambers; fifth, Bob LeClair (two-player table).

The next game will be played at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 11.
