STRONG — The Strong School will host “Mitten Basketball” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, during half time of the Strong versus Phillips game. There will also be baked goods and an auction. The event will benefit the eighth-grade class trips.
LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay-Livermore Falls Seniors met on March15 at Murray Hall. The 27 members present celebrated St.Patrick’s Day with a meal. Members brought in food, including vegetables and dip, salads, mini sandwiches, chicken nuggets and many kind of desserts.
Chairwoman Shirley Couture reminded everyone that the meeting on Monday, March 29, will be the Easter special, and not March 31 as previously reported. She asked for volunteers to bring in salads, chips, soda or a hot dish to go with the sandwiches that the group will buy. Gloria Delessandro will bring in the cake and ice cream.
The 50/50 was won by Fern Doiron and the door prize, donated by Darryl Couture, was won by Marilyn DeSoto. Cards and board games were enjoyed by all following the meeting.
WILTON — The Wilton Lodge 156, Maine Lodge 20, Jepthah Council 17, Franklin Chapter 34 and Pilgrim Commandery 19 will hold a public meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at the Harland Harnden Masonic Lodge Building, 70 Bryant Road, East Wilton.
A boiled dinner of corned beef, vegetables, rolls and homemade pies will be served. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12. All proceeds will benefit the masonic Building Fund. The building holds the lodge but also has a large dining hall and kitchen. Dining hall rentals are available.
