LIVERMORE FALLS — Tickets are on sale now for the”Price Is Right” fundraiser, to be held on Saturday, March 27, at the Livermore Falls Middle School. Tickets are $6 each and are available at the middle school main office.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 6 p.m. Jeff Parsons, from the Q97.9 morning radio show, will host the event and the emcees will be Ian Jewett, grade eight and Brandon Anctil, grade six.
There will be raffle items, silent auction items, a kids prize table, extra chance tickets, a 50/50 drawing and concessions. Proceeds will benefit students in grades six to eight, the Student Council and the Activity Account.
STRONG — David Deas of Winslow will give a concert at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 27, in the sanctuary of the Strong United Methodist Church. There is no cost and no offering will be taken. The public is invited.
Deas sings and accompanies himself on the guitar. His family-friendly concert will mix religious music with other easy listening music. Prior to the concert, everyone is invited to a potluck dinner at 5 p.m. in the parish hall.
WILTON — A public spaghetti dinner will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at Academy Hill School.
The menu will include spaghetti, Caesar salad, rolls, homemade desserts, juice, coffee and tea. The Mt. Blue Middle School Show Choir will perform songs from the Broadway version of “A Little Mermaid.” The Franklin County Fiddlers, led by Steve Muise, will also perform.
Admission is by donation. Donations will go to the Wilton PTF to pay for school field trips and classroom enrichment programs.
Easter egg hunt
WATERFORD — The Waterford Library invites Waterford children, elementary school-age and under, to an Easter Egg Hunt at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 27. Prizes for participants will be candy and books. The library is located on Routes 35 and 37.
WATERFORD — The Waterford Congregational Church will sponsor a Seder meal at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 1, at the Wilkins Community House next to the church, at the foot of Plummer Hill Road in Waterford Village. The public is invited to attend.
Cost of the meal is $7 each person, with special rates for family groups. Advance reservations are required and may be made by calling Lois Grigg at 583-9930.
A Maundy Thursday service of communion and Tenebrae will follow at 7 p.m. at the church. All are invited to attend.
RUMFORD — The Rumford Senior Citizens Board will hold elections from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, at the Senior Center. There will be a meeting at 11:30 a.m., followed by a potluck lunch and a speaker.
