AUBURN — The Lewiston-Auburn Writers Creative Writing Group will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 1, at the Auburn Public Library.
The group welcomes area writers who are seeking an oasis full of resources and a place to exchange ideas with other writers.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on March 23 were as follows: first, Sherry Hinckley and Luke Merry; second, Claire Lyons and Marta Clements; third, Patricia Garcia and David Lock.
Winners at Schooner Estates on March 24 were: first, Les Buzzell and John Hackett; second, Paul Barber and Luke Merry; third, David Wallace and Rosemarie Goodwin.

The quarterly club championship will be played at all games next week.
LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center will offer a free workshop to cancer patients, survivors and caregivers titled “Breathwork.”
The workshop will take place at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 12, at 12 High St., on the CMMC campus, in conference room I.
Paying attention to the way one breathes can help a person stay peaceful and calm in stressful times.
