History barn

NEW GLOUCESTER — An open house will be held at the New Gloucester History Barn from 9 am to noon Saturday, April 3. On display will be historic vehicles and a large display of photographs will also be on view. Books and mementos will be for sale. Admission is free.

AUBURN — The Down East Country Music Association will sponsor a show and dance from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 3, at the Universalist Unitarian Church, Spring Street. Entertainment will include Lolalee and the Country Bandits, Bill Giasson, Potpourri, Country Jim and Paula Kaiser and Dell Parker.

Senior meeting

SABATTUS — Members of the Sabattus Senior Citizens will have a meeting and baked ham meal on Thursday, April 1, at the Maxwell Hall. To sign up for the meal, call Doris at 784-7950.

The group has the following trips planned: Tuesday, April 13, Hollywood Slots, $24; Sunday, April 18, Maple Sugar Party, Lac Megantic, $42; April 25 to 28, Atlantic City, $269 with a $90 casino bonus; Friday, May 7, Jose Buddy at Indian Head Resort, $55; May 21 to 24, New York City, $439.

April Stools Day

AUBURN — Pack Life will sponsor an April Stools Day fundraiser cleanup event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 3. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. at Starbucks, Center Street. There is a $25 pledge minimum to participate and 100 percent of the money raised will go directly to the Pack Life spay and neuter fund.

At 11 a.m. the groups will split into two teams and disperse throughout dog-friendly parks and trails to clean up dog waste and debris.
