Parade meeting

Seniors social

FARMINGTON — Students from the Mt. Blue Middle School Katahdin Community will host a “Senior Citizen Social” at Mt. Blue Middle School from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 10.

Their hope is to bridge the gap between the senior citizens of Franklin County and teens. Admission is free, as is the entertainment planned and light refreshments. For more information, contact Maureen Oswald at 778-3511, ext. 276.

Ice cream social

FARMINGTON — April is Autism Awareness Month and Project Educate will host a Free Ice Cream Social (rice and soy dream also available) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the University of Maine at Farmington Olsen Student Center.

The family fun day will feature magician and balloon artist Scot Grassette. It s open to all families living with autism and other developmental disabilities and/or delays.

Roads workshop

CHESTERVILLE — A gravel roads construction and maintenance workshop with a hands-on front runner training session will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, at the Chesterville Town Office, Dutch Gap Road.

The cost has been reduced to $35/person, which includes light refreshments and materials. An additional discount will be given to groups of three or more (three/$96 or $32 for each person in a group of four or more). Send in a check with name, address, phone number and e-mail address for each person who wishes to attend.

Book sale

FAYETTE — A book sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at the Underwood Memorial Library, 2006 Main St.
