JAY — A free public supper will be held Saturday, April 10, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Main Street.
Doors will open at 4 p.m. with serving from 4:30 to 6. Menu will be a ham dinner with macaroni and cheese, soup, bread, drink and desserts.
The building is handicap accessible at rear door. Donations are welcome, but not necessary. Anyone who wants to help with supplies or in other ways should call Mike at 779-6951.
FARMINGTON — The Fairbanks Union Church will hold a fish chowder luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 16. It will include chowder, biscuit, pickles, cheese, dessert and coffee/tea. For local delivery (within five miles of the church) call the church, 778-4705. The donation is $6.
Blacksmith to meet
WILTON — The Western Maine Blacksmith’s Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at the Wilton Historical Society building, Canal Street. Talk on eagles
FARMINGTON — Patrick Keenan of the Biodiversity Research Institute of Maine will present a talk about bald eagles at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, in Room C23, Roberts Learning Center, UMF. It is free and open to the public.
After reviewing their basic biology and natural history, he will discuss eagle projects in which the BRI is involved.
