WATERFORD — Two public suppers will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 10, to benefit the Waterford World’s Fair. Spring fling

SOUTH PARIS — A Spring Fling Smorgasbord will take place on Saturday, April 10, at the South Paris Legion Hall, Church Street. There will be a supper from 5 to 6 p.m. and a dance from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 for the supper only and $5 for the dance only. Music will be by the Jones Band.

Trails closed

NORWAY — The Roberts Farm Preserve Trails Committee has chosen to close the trails at the preserve for the balance of the spring. Due to extraordinary precipitation since trail work began last May, there is still much work to be done on the system. In addition to seeding and mulching, sections of the trails need to be completed, bridges need to be placed, the ADA trail needs surfacing and the start/finish field needs to be completed.

Once the tails have been seeded and mulched, they will need time for the grass to take root, so the trust asks for the community’s understanding and patience.

Fair, food drive

LOVELL — The Fryeburg-Lovell VFW Ladies Auxiliary 6783 will host a Ladies Fair and food drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at the Lovell VFW Hall, corner of Smarts Hill Road and Route 93. Admission to the fair is a nonperishable item for the local food banks.

There will be a luncheon for $5. At the fair, there will be several representatives from well-known companies as well as other local women.
