RUMFORD — The Stephens High School Class of 1955 will meet for a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 8, at Dick’s Restaurant.
RUMFORD — The second annual Spring Fling Indoor Yard Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, 455 Linnell St.
Kathy Crump is again chairwoman, with Naomi Robertson and Peggy Welch at the baked goods table. Geneva Raymond will offer coffee and muffins and Mary Pulsifer will have many plants in her outside potting tent.
The fellowship hall will be full of treasures at bargain prices, including “bag for a buck” tables. Donated items may be dropped off from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday to Friday, May 5 to 7, at the church.

RUMFORD — A benefit dance will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the Rumford Elks Lodge 862, 60 River St., with dancing to “One Step Ahead.”
There will be a suggested donation of $5 at the door. Proceeds will benefit children with cancer, as there are area youngsters and teens that travel to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and the Maine Children’s Cancer Program for their treatments.
