LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on April 20 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Flight A winners were: first, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; second, Sharron Hinckley and Rosemarie Goodwin; third, Leslie Buzzell and Nancy Lindgren; tied at fourth, Roger Labbe and Larry Fortier with Luke Merry and Jeanine Kivus.
Flight B winners were: first, Roger Labbe and Larry Fortier; second, Claire Lyons and Jane Elliot. Another game will be played at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 27.
The club also met on April 22 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners were: first, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; tied at second, Les Buzzell and John Hackett with Luke Merry and Paul Barber. MECHANIC FALLS — The Mechanic Falls Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, at Congregational Hall, formerly the First Congo Church.
Agenda items include activities scheduled for May, including a evening of Blue Grass music on May 8, the antiques appraisal fundraiser for May 22 and preparing for the Community Celebration Day on Saturday, June 26.
WALES — A family fun night of entertainment will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at the Wales Central School gym. There will be a variety of entertainers at the event. Proceeds will benefit the eighth-grade class trip to Boston.

MECHANIC FALLS — Final plans for the Mechanic Falls Community Celebration Day will be discussed at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 29, in the town council chambers at the Municipal Building.
Organizers have planned over a dozen activites to take place in the town on Saturday, June 26, beginning with the annual Pottle Hill Road Race. This meeting is open to anyone who wishes to participate in event.
