FARMINGTON — The office of U.S. Sen. Olympia J. Snowe will hold office hours from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, at the Municipal Building conference room, 153 Farmington Falls Road.
It will be an opportunity for area residents to meet directly with a staff representative to discuss specific problems, legislative issues or any concerns regarding federal government agencies, such as Social Security, veterans affairs and the Internal Revenue Service.

CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Grange will host a public baked bean supper from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 15. There will be baked beans, salads, casseroles, biscuits and homemade pie. Cost for adults is $7; children, $3.

FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Democratic Committee invites the public to a pizza party at the Homestead Bakery on Broadway. The party will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 14.
The committee is celebrating a successful year of serving the community and is kicking off an energetic campaign season, said Chairperson Anne Geller. The cost for the pizza and salad meal is $7.50 each person, plus extra for beverages and dessert.
