ACA to meet
LEWISTON — The Dr. Paul Fortier Chapter 52 of the (Royal Arcanum) ACA/Association Canado-Americaine will gather at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, in the Senior Citizens Room of the Multi-Purpose Center.
Following the monthly business meeting, representatives from Fortin Funeral Homes will share information on being prepared for this delicate phase of life, as well as answer questions. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call chapter president Dolores Poirier at 782-8109.
SABATTUS — The Sabattus Town Office is holding a food drive for the local food banks and also collecting pet food to help the Androscoggin SPCA. Boxes are set up at the Town Office.
The office is also helping the Marines “Toys for Tots” program. New toys may be dropped off at the Town Office.
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club will host a card/game fundraiser at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at the YWCA, 130 East Ave. Snacks, beverages, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle will be available.
Except for the duplicate bridge players, all participants should bring their own games, cards, supplies and players. Each players’ $10 contribution will benefit the YWCA. Call Lucille Theriault at 783-0431 or Rosemarie Goodwin at 754-1431 for more information.
LHS alumni to meet
LEWISTON — The Lewiston High School Alumni Foundation will meet at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at the school.
The foundation is a nonprofit organization that encourages alumni to donate money for the benefit of providing scholarships to graduating students of Lewiston High School. Graduates, of any year, from Lewiston High School are encouraged to become involved in the organization.
