Hunters breakfast

BUCKFIELD — A hunters breakfast will be held from 5 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Buckfield American Legion John D. Long Post 58. There will be eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, homemade donuts, toast, home fries, juice, coffee or tea. Cost is $5.

Worship service

SOUTH PARIS — Dr. Art Judge of King’s Chapel, Boston, will lead the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, Oct. 31, at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St. Forest Perkins will direct the music and Renee Wales will lead the Sunday School. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome

SOUTH PARIS — Oxford Hills-Buckfield Adult Education will offer “Slimnastics” with Loraine Piirainen, from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, and “Observatory Training” with Rick Chase, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9.

Craft fair

SOUTH PARIS — The Western Maine Veterans’ Home will hold a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6.

There will be a lunch counter open and all are invited. Admission is free. The Home is located at 477 High St.

Legion dance

SOUTH PARIS —  The Jones Dance Band will be at the Legion Hall, Church Street, on Saturday, Nov. 6. There will be a roast pork supper from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a dance at 6:30 p.m. The supper will cost $7 and the dance will cost $5.

Thrift shop

SOUTH PARIS — The Thrifty Gift Shop, 659 Park St., will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 29 and 30. All Halloween and fall items will be 50 percent off.
