AUBURN — Liberty Rebekah Lodge #94 will observe Friendship Night and Brothers Night on Monday, May 2. Members of other Rebekah Lodges and Odd Fellows Lodges are invited to a sandwich buffet at 6 p.m. in the activities room at the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Home, 85 Caron Lane.
Guests are encouraged to bring something entertaining to share such as a reading, poem, joke, song (either vocal or instrumental) as part of the program. A collection will be taken for Camp NEOFA. The camp is a residential camp located on the shores of True’s Pond in Montville and is open during the month of July for youngsters between the ages of 8 and 14. The camp is owned and operated by the North East Odd Fellows Association.
LEWISTON — The Dr. Paul J. Fortier Chapter/Council 52 of the Royal Arcanum-ACA Division will gather at 6 p.m. Monday, May 2, in the Senior Citizens Room of the Multi-Purpose Center. In addition to the monthly business meeting, the group will conduct the annual election of officers, to which all members are welcome. Following this, refreshments will be available during social time.
Due to the summer three-month hiatus, the group will hold their closing banquet on Friday, May 20, at Rolandeau’s Restaurant, 775 Washington Ave., Auburn, at noon. More information is available by calling chapter president/regent Dolores Poirier at 782-8109.
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on April 26 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Winners in Flight A were: 1st, David Lock and Patricia Garcia; tied at second, Kathleen Burden and Mary Ann Trafton with Les Buzzell and Nancy Lindgren; 4th, Anna Vitiello and Lucille Theriault. Winners in Flight B were: 1st, Kathleen Burden and Mary Ann Trafton; 2nd, Peter Summings and Claire Lyons. Another game will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 3.
The club also met on April 27 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners were: 1st, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; 2nd, Luke Merry and Paul Barber; 3rd, Patricia and Mike Quinn. LITCHFIELD — The Smithfield Plantation Board of Trustees meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at the Litchfield Town Office.
MINOT — Members of Androscoggin Pomona Grange will meet on Wednesday, May 4, at West Minot Grange for a 6:30 supper. The meeting will begin at 7:30, during which the fifth degree will be conferred. Any Pomona or subordinate granges having candidates are welcome to bring them. There will be a 50/50 raffle and an attendance drawing.
Subordinate grange winners of the scone contest are reminded to bring their entries for judging. All members and guests are welcome to attend.
