Class of 1948

MEXICO — The Mexico High School Class of 1948 will meet for their monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Far East.

Yard sale

RUMFORD — A spring fling indoor yard sale will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 14, at United Methodist Church, 455 Linnell St. Household items, plants and baked goods will be for sale.

Rummage sale

RUMFORD — A rummage and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Route 2 at the Rotary.

Items will include clothes as well as other goods and food.

Community band

BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Community Band will perform its spring concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at the West Parish Congregational Church.

The band, directed by Patricia Boyle-Wight, is preparing for the summer, with Memorial Day parades, Mollyockett Day parade July 16, music at Waterford’s celebration July 31, and end of the summer concert Monday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m. at Gould Academy Bingham Hall.

The band rehearses on Monday nights at 7 p.m. at the West Parish Congregational Church. New members are always welcome.

Turkey dinner

RUMFORD — A turkey dinner with all the fixings will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at the Rumford Grange, Route 2. Adults will cost $8 and children under 12 will cost $4.

Relay benefit

RUMFORD — Memier’s Misfits will be holding a Scentsy Party Open House from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at the home of Belinda Smith, 16 Spring St., Mexico. Proceeds to benefit the River Valley Relay For Life.
