Try-Me Week at the YWCA

LEWISTON — The YWCA of Central Maine is holding a Try-Me Week from Feb. 16-23.

Enjoy a swim at the YWCA or try Magic Y-World, L/A’s only indoor gigantic float. Work off summer calories by joining any of the YWCA’s water fitness classes or open swims.

All open swim times and water fitness classes will be offered at a discounted rate. Family open swim times and Magic Y-World will also be offered throughout the week. For a schedule stop by the YWCA on 130 East Ave. or visit www.ywcamaine.org.

Senior Citizens Cribbage League

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Lewiston Memorial Armory on Feb. 6 were: first, Roland Bosse; second, Sandy Oliver and Norm Bissonnette; third, Cecile Bussiere and Henry Maheux; fourth, Andrea Metayer and Gene Brown; fifth, Ed Hinkley and Don Haley.

The next game will be played at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13. Call the office at 513-3059 for more information.

Lewiston Bridge Club winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on Feb. 10 were as follows: first/second tie, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe with Hazel Glazier and Dick Allen; third, Mary Ann Trafton and Luke Merry; first in B, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe.

Winners on Feb. 11 were: first, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; second, Kathleen Burden and Mary Ann Trafton; third, Paul Sherman and Mike True.

Games are played every Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 754-1431 for more information.

No game will be played on Monday, Feb. 17, Presidents’ Day.

Lisbon Rec. trip to New York City

LISBON — Lisbon Recreation is inviting the public to join them for a trip to New York City on Sept. 12-15.

The trip is a four-day, three-night trip for $415, and includes three nights lodging, comfortable video- and restroom-equipped coach bus, six meals, guided tours and a harbor cruise.

Organizers are looking to customize the trip by adding a Broadway show one afternoon in place of a tour, for an additional cost. The play will be chosen, and costs calculated, as the time gets closer.

Secure a spot with a $75 deposit made out to Diamond Tours. This must be received by May 1. Send to Lisbon Recreation Department, 300 Lisbon St., Lisbon, ME 04250.

This trip is open to all ages, minors must have an accompanying adult, and people from any town are welcome.
