College holding open house

LEWISTON — The Maine College of Health Professions, 70 Middle St., will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 1.

The event will feature student-led tours of the Lewiston campus, demonstrations of nursing and medical imaging simulation equipment and information about academic programs, financial aid and the college’s admission process.

Light refreshments will be served.

The Maine College of Health Professions provides real-world education to future specialists through a progressive learning environment that includes hands-on clinical training, access to professional and medical resources, small class sizes and a supportive staff.

Degree programs are offered in nursing, radiologic technology and nuclear medicine technology, as well as computed tomography (CT) and nurses’ assistant certificate programs.

Green Ladle hosts open house

LEWISTON — The Green Ladle will hold an open house from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1. Tickets may be purchased in advance at The Green Ladle during regular school hours, 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or at the door on Nov. 1. Cost is $10. No reservations are needed.

Cribbage players are invited

Church in need of pantry items

AUBURN — The Auburn United Methodist Church is requesting the following items that are need on a weekly basis at the High Street Food Pantry: peanut butter, toilet paper and pasta sauce.
