Church lasagna supper
SUMNER — A Community Lasagna Supper will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at the Congregational Church of East Sumner, 50 Main St. Donations are requested for the meal. For more information, call Bill at 388-2263.
Deering Memorial breakfast
PARIS — Deering Memorial United Methodist Church will host free community breakfasts from 8 to 9 a.m. each Sunday.
The menu changes weekly with some of the most popular items being baked stuffed French toast, homemade cinnamon rolls, egg casseroles, home fries and pancakes. There is always cereal, toast, coffee, juice and fruit.
Organizers welcome help or donations of breakfast supplies. A free-will offering is available for anyone wishing to donate toward the cost of the breakfast.

Clothing center open
HARTFORD — The Hartford Community Clothing Center will be open from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 3 and 17. There will be a bag sale on Jan. 3. The center is located directly across from the church.
Roast turkey dinner
PARIS — A roast turkey dinner will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at Deering Memorial Methodist Church, 39 Main St.
Dessert will be apple crisp with ice cream. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Parking is available behind the library and town office.
Duplicate bridge winners
OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Dec. 26 in the Recreation Building, King Street, when a 4 and 1/2 table Howell movement was played.
Finishing first in flight A were Neenie Kivus, Lewiston, and David Lock, Greene; second, Hazel Glazier, Norway, and Marta Clements, Woodstock; third, Tony Palumbo, New Jersey, and Les Buzzell, Auburn; fourth, Norma and Rick Verrill, Gorham, who also were first in flight B.
Finishing second in flight B were B.J.and Steve Cavicchi, Bridgton; third, Carol Curran, Waterford, and Milt McKeen, Bridgton.
