Calder visits Auburn Church
AUBURN — Marstons Corner Baptist Church will host Evangelist Wendall Calder on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 7 and 8, at 752 Beech Hill Road.
Calder has been in the ministry for 38 years and is involved in ministry all around the world, especially at the Word of Life Bible Institute in New York.
Friday’s meeting will start at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday’s session will include a pot luck supper at 5 p.m. hosted by the church followed by singing with Calder.
Masonic Lodge to hold supper
DURHAM — The Masonic Lodge will hold a bean supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 663 Royalsborough Road.
The cost is $7.50 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for children younger than 5.
Baked beans, chop suey, hot dogs, potato salad and coleslaw will be served.
Sale planned at Elks Lodge
LEWISTON — A yard sale and vendor fair will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, at the Lewiston Elks Lodge, 1675 Lisbon Road.
Golden Age Club to meet
AUBURN — IHM Golden Age Club will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Sacred Heart Church Hall.
Following a social hour, a luncheon of chicken salad with cookies and ice cream sundaes for dessert will be served. After a short meeting, there will be an auction/swap and raffle.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge club winners of the North American Pairs game at the Lewiston Armory on July 27 were, first, Nancy Farmer and Luke Merry; second, Tom Goodwin and Mike True; third and first in B, Connie and Ron Reynolds; fourth, Dick Allen and Richard Balian; fifth and second in B, Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird; third in B, Paul Clement and Bailey Geeslin; first in C, Bob Kirchherr and Jim Krainin; and second, Donna Bartlett and Claire Lyons.
Winners of the NAP game on July 28 were, first and second tie, Paul Sherman and Mike True with Mike Newsom and Misha Tomic; third, Rosemarie Goodwin and Larry Fortier; fourth and fifth tie, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock with Paul Clement and Bailey Geeslin; first in B and C, Paul Clement and Bailey Geeslin; and, second, Norma and Rick Verrill.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is guaranteed and all bridge players are welcome.
