Cribbage league results

LEWISTON — The results for the Lewiston Senior Cribbage League for the week of Oct. 25 are:

First place, Pat Harrington and Maurice Gagne; second place, Dick Dennis and Ike LeCompte; third place, Hope Hughes and Bob Oliver; fourth place, Terry Chambers and Henry Maheux; and fifth place, Don Haley and Charlie Ware.

OES holds meeting, honors veterans

WALES — Lakeside Chapter 60, Order of the Eastern Star, will hold its Stated Meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Grange-Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Road.

Lakeside Chapter will honor our veterans and give thanks. Light refreshments by Sisters Ruth and Yvonne will be shared after the meeting.

Officers are requested to wear gowns/tuxedos or dark suits as are appropriate. A collection will be taken for the veterans in Togus.

Cafe holds free nutrition class

LEWISTON — The Ark & Olive Branch Cafe, 791 Lisbon St., will hold a class, “Therapeutic Nutrition,” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, presented by Martin Raj.

Nutrition is nature’s agency to recover from mental stress and overwork, the protection of health and treating health issues. Attendees will learn how nutrition can be therapeutic. This class is free.
