New Auburn Seniors to meet
AUBURN — The New Auburn Senior Citizens will meet for a business meeting on Monday, Dec. 4. The meeting and open bingo will start around 11:30 a.m. followed by a light lunch, which will cost $4.
The Christmas party will be held Monday, Dec. 11. The social hour will be from 11 a.m. to noon followed by dinner from noon to 1 p.m., music from 1 to 2 p.m. by Phil House and Kathy Haley, and prizes from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Cost to attend the party is $15. Party tickets must be purchased at the Dec. 4 meeting.
All seniors 60 and older are welcome to attend Off Monday Bingo at noon on Monday, Dec. 18.

Blood Drive planned on Dec. 7
WINTHROP — There will be a community blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at the St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall, Route 133.
The drive is open to all qualifying donors. A form of identification is required.

Democrats to meet in Minot
MINOT — Minot and Mechanic Falls Democrats will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at the Minot Town Office.
A representative from Green Dot LA will provide information about Bystander Intervention presentations and workshops that will be launched in early 2018.
Cub Scouts to hold toy drive
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Cub Scouts Pack 116 will host its annual toy drive from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, in the conference rooms at 12 High St., Central Maine Medical Center.
The Pack seeks new, unwrapped toys. Proceeds will benefit local families in need.
Participants may join the Scouts in making keepsake ornaments during the event. They should enter through the pharmacy entrance and follow the signs.
