Holiday crafts, cookie exchange
NORWAY — The public is invited to Norway Memorial Library from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, for holiday crafting and a cookie exchange.
Participants will learn how to make a paper gingerbread garland, English crackers, a sparkle candle jar and Finnish stars. Participants need to bring scissors for cutting paper and a small glass jar for the sparkle candle jar craft. All other supplies will be provided.
Additionally, attendees are asked to bring a dozen of their favorite holiday cookies for the cookie exchange.
The program is for adults. Seating is limited; registration is required.

Tour guides for library Reunion Art Display
FARMINGTON — Dona Seegers and Mary McFarland conducted a guided tour on Oct. 26 of the Reunion Art Display at the Farmington Public Library, in response to questions raised by patrons. They provided information on their pieces of work as well as information on the works of Jan Royall and Penny Hall.
The public is encouraged to visit the display, which is on the three floors of the library. The artists have donated five pieces to be raffled off in December. Tickets are one for $1 or 10 for $5. One does not need to be present to win.
Rumford Seniors plan Pennsylvania trip
PERU — The Rumford Seniors are planning a trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, from April 30 to May 5, 2018.
This is a six-day, five-night trip at a cost of $515 per person in double occupancy. A down payment of $75 is due by Dec. 21 with final payment by Feb. 15. Departure from the Senior Center at the Peru School at 8 a.m.
The trip includes two travel days plus seeing “The All New Jesus Show” at the Sight and Sound Millennium Theater, and “The Amish Experience,” a guided tour of Philadelphia, a visit to the Kitchen Kettle Village, and more.
Wilton church making pies
WILTON — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church members are taking orders for Thanksgiving pies.
These are traditional 9-inch pies. Price per apple or pumpkin pie is $10 or $12 for mince, pecan, lemon meringue or berry.
Orders must be placed by Sunday, Nov. 19. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the church.
