Paint benefit postponed for storm
AUBURN — A paint night fundraiser to benefit An Angel’s Wing, an addiction rehabilitation program, has been postponed from Jan. 13 due to the weather.
The event is now scheduled to be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at at the VFW Post 1303 hall, 588 Minot Ave.
There will be snacks served, a cash bar and music. No experience is necessary, all supplies will be provided. The cost is $35, and the painting will be spring-themed.

Songs, stories benefiting Rumford school
RUMFORD — An Evening of Songs and Stories with Andy St. Pierre and Peter Koch will benefit the Holy Savior School.
The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, in the Holy Savior Church hall.
St. Pierre and Koch will perform a variety of music to sing to. There will a be 50/50 raffle and a silent auction, with items including ski vouchers and custom photographs.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. Children younger than 12 are free. All proceeds will go to the school, and thanks to a generous gift, any donation to the school will be matched.
Teens invited to create comics
WILTON — The Wilton Free Public Library will host a comic book workshop with Dan Ryder, comic book fan extraordinaire, from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20.
Spend an afternoon exploring, reading and creating comics of all sorts. All middle and high school teens are encouraged to attend. There will be piles of books to browse, materials for creating and opportunities to learn how to write, draw and publish comics.

Contra dance planned in Norway
NORWAY — A contra dance will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, at First UU Church of Norway, 479 Main St.
Music will be provided by the Better Late Than Never Band, with caller Maggie Robinson.
Cost is $8 a person with a family maximum of $20. Beginners are welcome with or without a partner. Dancers should bring clean shoes for dancing.
