Sabattus Seniors cancel meeting

SABATTUS — The Sabattus Seniors meeting for Thursday, Jan. 4, is canceled due to weather.

The next meeting will be on Thursday, Feb. 1, with the meal of spaghetti with meat sauce.

Open Observatory Night canceled

PARIS — The next Open Observatory Night at Twitchell Observatory, scheduled for Friday, Jan. 5, has been canceled due to the cold.

The observatory will announce when another Open Observatory Night will be.

The observatory is on Paris Hill, one mile from South Paris on Hooper Ledge Road off Route 117.

Farmers market open Sundays 

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Farmers Market will be open 10 a.m. to noon every Sunday for the 2017-18 winter season, Oct. 22 through Feb. 25, at the YWCA, 130 East Ave.

Chamber plans blood drive

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metro Chamber of Commerce will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at Kaplan University.

Appointments may be made on the American Red Cross website by entering the code LAMETRO.
