Bully for wooly

Livermore – It’s all about wool! Join the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center staff Saturday for a fun-filled learning experience focused on the process of turning wool into garments.

The center is at 290 Norlands Road.

Experts will be on hand to demonstrate this progression by sheep herding, then shearing the sheep. Next, they will prepare the wool; first by carding and then by spinning. The last step will be a class in knitting the wool into garments.

This event is open to all ages and admission is $1. Lunch: $5 adults, $3.50 children.
