PHOTO: New health care drop-in center opens

Front office specialist Sandy Myers works at the new drop-in counter at the Concentra Urgent Care Center at 59 East Ave. in Lewiston on Friday after its grand opening. The center provides non-emergency health care Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for walk-in urgent-care patients. Concentra and its corporate parent have given more than $40,000 to the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing this year. Concentra is a partner with Central Maine Medical Center and provides occupational medicine, urgent care, physical therapy and wellness services at more than 300 medical centers in 40 states.
