Holden joins Stephens

NORWAY — Western Maine Health Vice President of Quality and Safety, Kathy Bonney, RN, MSN, announces that her department has recently hired Martha Holden as quality and safety specialist for Stephens Memorial Hospital.

Holden brings more than 30 years of medical experience to her new position. She began her career working for physicians at SMH as a medical assistant before becoming the director of quality management at Bridgton Hospital. Most recently, she was the medical staff coordinator at Bridgton Hospital. She will be tasked with reducing overall patient safety risks and improving safety and patient satisfaction throughout the hospital.

She has a medical assistant degree from Thomas College; a bachelor of health care administration from St. Joseph’s College; and a master's degree in management with a concentration in health administration from New England College.

She lives in North Bridgton with her husband. They have three sons and a grandson.
