Businesses set events for leaders


PORTLAND – Maine Businesses for Social Responsibility announces two events. On May 4, it will host its annual spring Leadership Forum, “Blossom Where You Are Planted: Restoring the Environment, Community & Local Economies through Business,” from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Mariner’s Church Banquet Center in Portland. The featured speaker, Will Raap, founder and chief executive officer of Gardener’s Supply Co., will give the presentation following a reception.

On June 1, the organization will host its annual Spring Sustainable Business Conference at USM Abromson Center in Portland. Keynote speakers are Steven Voigt, president and chief executive officer of The King Arthur Flour Co. Inc and Amy Domini, founder and chief executive officer of Domini Social Investments.
