LEWISTON — Taylor Butterfield, a certified physician assistant, has been appointed to the Central Maine Medical Center associate professional staff. She is working at High Street Family Medicine in Lewiston.
Butterfield earned a master’s degree in physician assisting in 2009 from the University of New England in Portland. That same year, she was certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Her professional experience includes clinical rotations in the emergency medicine department at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass., the obstetrics-gynecology practice at Franklin Health Women’s Care in Farmington and Penobscot Surgical Care in Bangor.
She recently worked at Rangeley Family Medicine in Rangeley, attending to patients’ primary care needs, recreation- and employment-related injuries and educating patients on proper care.
She now practices with High Street Family Medicine in association with Edward W. Bogner, M.D., Katrina I. Funk, a certified nurse practitioner, and licensed clinical social worker Melissa K. Dumont. The practice can be reached at 753-7655.
