Butterfly program

BETHEL – A fly-away evening into the beautiful world of butterflies beckons at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, at the McLaughlin Science Center at Gould Academy.

“Butterflies: Habit and Habitat” is the Mahoosuc Land Trust’s last presentation this year in its popular Local Knowledge Series.

Butterfly expert Jerry Schneider of Vermont is to conduct the program on monarch and swallowtail butterflies, revealing the monarch’s amazing long-distance migration, nectaring sources of butterflies and more, says trust member Beth H. Brough.

The presentation, which is free and open to the public, is to include a slide show.
