C. Jean Lajoie


GREENE – C. Jean Lajoie, 62, a resident of 16 Gibbs Lane, Greene, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, unexpectedly at her residence.

She was born in Salem, Mass., Aug. 14, 1944, the daughter of Raymond and Emily (Macomber) Butler. She grew up in Ft. Myers, Fla., and graduated from Ft. Myers High School in 1962. She then moved north to attend the Central Maine General School of Nursing, where she graduated in 1965.

After her schooling, she worked for Dr. Drouin and Dr. Sanford as an registered nurse. She then worked as an R.N. for 25 years at St. Mary’s Hospital retiring in July 2005. She was a member of MSGNA and the Red Hat Society.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Lajoie, and his wife, Gretchen, of Gardiner and Richard, and his wife, Linda, of Mechanic Falls; one sister, Maureen of Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Dylan and Cullen Lajoie; three stepgrandchildren, Dustin, Adam and Mandy.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant son, Gregory; as well as two brothers; and one sister.
