LEWISTON — Carmen F. Cote, 86, of Lewiston, died Saturday, Nov. 29, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born in Lewiston, a daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Normand Cote. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was employed at Bates Manufacturing and in local shoe shops, prior to her retirement.

She enjoyed cooking, healthy eating and feeding the birds, and made a frequent habit of buying bread at Grant’s Bakery. She was affectionately known as “Little Carmen” by those who knew her. She was a very devout and prayerful member of the Prince of Peace Parish at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

Carmen is survived by a brother, Laurier Cote, of Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Montminy; and four brothers, Damien, Perley, Roland and Roger Cote.
