WATERVILLE — Carroll F. Flewelling, 78, of Fairfield, went to be with the Lord Friday, April 23, at Oak Grove Center in Waterville.
He was born in Washburnon August 28, 1931, the son of Frank and Effie Flewelling. He had attended a business school and was a U.S. Air Force veteran during the Korean War. He had been a security guard at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville. He was a member of the Northeast Anglican Conference. He was a former member of the Advent Christian Church in Auburn from 1954 to 1983. He was also a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Waterville. He was a prolific reader.
Survivors include his wife, Heather (Boucher) Flewelling of Fairfield; son, Brian and wife, Jo Flewelling, of Connecticut; daughter, Deana B. Flewelling of Lewiston; three step-daughters, Mary Angela Emerson and husband, Michael, of Gorham and Nancy Cavanaugh of Winslow; two step-sons, Richard and Thomas; grandchildren, Samuel, William and Kiera of Gorham, and Alyssa Cavanaugh of Winslow.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Geraldine Briggs; second wife, Nancy Lowell; two brothers, Cecil and Ellsworth Flewelling.
