Jr. Maineiacs rout Brewer

KENTS HILL - Kyle Ullrich scored three goals and added an assist to lead the Lewiston Jr. Maineiacs peewee travel hockey team past Brewer, 10-2, at Alfond Arena.

In addition to Ullrich's hat trick, Cameron Stewart chalked up two goals. Brendon Croteau, Kyle Morin, Caleb Labrie, Ryley Austin and Jed Drapeau each got into the scoring column. Croteau and Brady Cusson each logged three assists. Morin and Cody Woodward chipped in one helper apiece.

Founded in 1969, the hall honors players, coaches, umpires, organizers and benefactors from all corners of the state who have achieved prominence in or made valuable contributions to baseball in Maine. Jr. Maineiacs' streak snapped

LEWISTON - The Lewiston Jr. Maineiacs' peewee travel hockey team saw its season-opening unbeaten streak snapped at five games in a 6-5 road loss to the Biddeford Sharks.

Biddeford erupted for four goals in the first period and held a 6-2 lead at the end of two before Lewiston rallied. Caleb Labrie scored two goals for the Junior Maineiacs, with Cameron Stewart, Ryley Austin and Reid Pomerleau adding one each. Jonathan Sturgis, Brady Cusson and Kyle Ullrich chalked up assists.

Auburn outguns Midcoast

YARMOUTH - Six different Auburn players scored in a 6-1 U12 girls' hockey win over Midcoast at Travis Roy Arena.

Savannah Shaw, Katya Fons and Emma Martineau each picked up a goal in the first six minutes of the contest. Mikahla Searles assisted Fons' tally.

Cassie Beaudoin added an unassisted goal in the second period, and Hayleigh Frohlich and Tori Sanford tacked on two more in a 19-second span of the third.
