PARIS - The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches will offer a free youth basketball coaching clinic Tuesday, Nov. 10 at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. This clinic is made possible by the generous donation of longtime coach Ron Brown. The clinic is designed for youth, middle school and subvarsity coaches.

READFIELD - Oak Hill Youth Football 5th and 6th grade Raiders beat the previously undefeated Maranacook Blackbears 12-7 for the CMFL championship Wednesday evening.
Maranacook took an early 7-0 lead on its first possession when Kyle Morang gained six yards on a quarterback keeper. Alex Dore added the PAT.
The score stayed that way untill late in the third quarter, when Colby Spencer broke loose for a 55-yard Oak Hill TD to make it 7-6.

LEWISTON - BT Pallet captured the Lewiston Men's League softball fall championship. Pallet went 4-0 in the playoffs with wins over Mixers (24-9), East Coast Signs (16-4), Capsawn (21-1) and Capsawn again (19-6).
Capsawn finished second, with L/A Harley third.

LEWISTON - The Lewiston Jr. Maineiacs pee wee travel hockey team stayed unbeaten with a pair of road wins last weekend.
Lewiston walked away from Sukee Arena in Winslow with a convincing 8-2 win over Central Maine. Caleb Labrie led the way for Lewiston with three goals and one assists. Cody Woodward added two goals and two assists. Brendon Croteau chipped in a goal and an assist. Kyle Morin and Kyle Ullrich rounded out the scoring with one goal apiece. Jozef Frechette and Jed Drapeau each notched an assist. Kyle Welsh was the winning netminder.

LEWISTON - Lewiston Junior Maineiacs Peewee Travel Hockey started its season off with a flourish, winning two games an dtying one last weekend.
The sequence opened with a 4-4 road tie against Dover (N.H.) Stars. Lewiston took a 3-2 lead into the third period in a back-and-forth contest before Dover took the lead with a pair of goals. Lewiston notched the tie late in the proceedings. Brendon Croteau and Kyle Ullrich each tallied a goal and an assist. Cameron Stewart and Caleb Labrie each added a goal. Trent Spaulding was netminder for Lewiston.
