Catherine ‘Kay’ S. Moulton

LEWISTON — Catherine “Kay” S. Moulton, 92, of Norway passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 27, at Central Maine Medical Center encircled by family.

Catherine was born in Hatfield, Pa., Nov. 28, 1919, to John and Pearl (Dettra) Schmidt.

She proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a bookkeeper. She rang the bells in the Washington Memorial Chapel.

Kay found joy in her flower gardens, playing her cello and her family was the most important thing in her life. She could best be described by the qualities of forgiveness, sense of humor, compassion and a loving heart. If someone looked up the definition of good sport they would find her name.

She was a member of the American Legion and the Second Congregational Ladies Circle.

Kay is survived by her children, Laura and husband, Bill Reiman, of Norway, John and wife, Sarah Moulton, of Harpswell and Julie Moulton of Monmouth; sisters, Audrey Robish of Georgia, and Mae Swearer of Pennsylvania; brother, Charles Schmidt of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
