Adam and Erin
RUMFORD — Erin Lindsay Child and Adam Christopher Buckley were united in marriage on Sept. 5 by Cindy Giroux of Dixfield. The ceremony and reception were both held at Black Mountain of Maine in Rumford.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Wanda Child of Peru and the granddaughter of Roland and MaryAnne Bellegarde of Rumford. She is also the granddaughter of the late Clayton and Verlie Child of Peru.
The bridegroom is the son of Christopher and Mary Buckley of Norway and the grandson of Helen Derosier of Enfield, Conn., and the late Gerald Derosier. He is also the grandson of Evelyn Buckley of Gardiner and the late Percival Buckley.
The bride wore a strapless, ivory A-line gown with side drape and beaded lace and she carried a bouquet of ivory-colored roses. She was escorted down the aisle by her father and given away by her parents. The bridegroom wore his Army dress blues.
The maid of honor was Makayla White of Rumford, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rachel Rodemann of Arkansas, long-time friend of the bride, and Amanda Law of Dixfield, cousin of the bride. The junior bridesmaid was Liza White of Rumford, cousin of the bride.
The best man was Austin Toothaker of West Paris, best friend of the bridegroom. The groomsmen were Joshua Buckley of Massachusetts, brother of the bridegroom, and Timothy Libby of Lewiston, best friend of the bridegroom.
The flower girls were Asia and Amaya Libby of West Paris, nieces of the bride. Ring bearer was Reginald Buckley of Norway, son of the bridegroom.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and is currently employed at Enterprise Associates in Oxford.
The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and is currently employed at the Maine State Select Honor Guard in Augusta and is also a member of the Maine Army National Guard.
The couple honeymooned in Florida and are currently residing in Norway.
