AUBURN — The second annual Homecoming Celebration, observing the second anniversary of the merger of Lighthouse Baptist Church and Marston’s Corner Baptist Church, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 16, at Marston’s Corner Baptist Church, corner of Beech Hill and Hotel roads.
Guest speaker, Pastor Mark Lunn of Hodgton and his wife, Debbie, will present the morning message and special music. Former members and former pastors and their families are particularly invited.
Lighthouse Baptist Church started in 1978 on Lincoln Street in Lewiston, under the pastorate of Real Daigle. Marston’s Corner Baptist Church started in 1812 in the area where the current church building stands. Pastors Robert Putnam and Christian Gumprecht, both graduates of New Brunswick Bible Institute, now serve the congregation.
The first annual celebration included former pastors, Earl Hodgkins, Laurence Jordan and Christina Primm, daughter of Dale Primm, and Dolores McCracken, wife of Glenn McCracken.
The service is open to all as is the family-style barbecue to be held directly afterward in the fellowship hall.
