SUMNER — The Rev. Nancy Kennedy of the Congregational Church of East Sumner invites the public to join in the following events as part of the fellowship and fundraising of the members.
On Saturday, May 1, the church will have a supper at 5:30 p.m. There will be casseroles and salad. Attendees can bring a dish to share or make a donation. Men are invited to bring dessert in honor of women. There will be a door prize and two raffles. For more information, call Cyndy at 388-2667.
On Saturday, May 8, there will be a movie night at 6:30 p.m. The movie will be “The Secret Garden.” Admission is free and refreshments will be sold. Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs, bean bags, sleeping bags and pillows. Regular chairs will be provided. For more information, call Bill at 388-2263.
On Wednesday, May 19, seniors bingo will be held at noon. Admission to the game is a candy bar or can of fruit (to be used as game prizes). Lunch will be provided free of charge. For more information, call Al at 388-2120.
On Saturday, May 22, all are welcome to help plant the pumpkin patch. The time is to be determined.
On Saturday, May 29, the church will have a public paid supper at 5:30 p.m. with baked beans, casseroles and a raffle. For more information, call Bill at 388-2263.
