LEWISTON — St. Joseph’s Church of the Prince of Peace Parish will have a Day of Recollection at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, April 25, at the Holy Cross Seniors Hall, Lisbon Street. The guest speaker will be Mike Tyne.
Tyne is a lay Catholic chaplain at Central Maine Medical Center. He also works for Prince of Peace Parish, providing pastoral care to the sick, elderly and bereaved Catholics in Lewiston. He studied theology at a Protestant seminary in Connecticut and at a Catholic seminary in Rome. He has taught religion and English at St. Dominic Regional High School and has provided care to handicapped adults in Lewiston.
Tyne and his wife, Diane, live in Sumner with their two children, Joan, 2 and James, 5 months.
