LEWISTON — A driver attempting to turn his tractor-trailer truck around in the Elks Lodge parking lot on outer Lisbon Street snagged some low-hanging power lines, dragging down a pole and transformer Monday afternoon.
Lewiston fire and police officers responded to the scene. There were no injuries reported. The driver of the truck, who was not identified, stood nearby talking on a cellphone.
Central Maine Power Co. turned the power off and assessed the damage and repairs needed.
It was unclear whether the accident caused additional power outages in the area, but the lines were live when they were snagged.
The truck was had Portland Air Freight decals on it.

Low hanging power lines?
If that is the case, then C.M.P. is in violation and should absorb the total cost of repair!
