LEWISTON — A little girl accidentally run over in a Pierce Street driveway Thursday afternoon was transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland and was in fair condition Friday, according to a nursing supervisor.

Two-and-a-half-year-old Jamaica Anderson was initially taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston for observation.

Police at the time said the toddler ran behind a sport utility vehicle as her uncle was backing out of the driveway at 125 Pierce St. Police confirmed Friday that her uncle wouldn't face any charges.
