AUBURN – Community Little Theatre will hold auditions for “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 13-14,  at Great Falls Performing Arts Center.

All roles in this musical comedy, including the students, will played by adults.

Auditioners should prepare 16 bars of a song of their choice and bring sheet music for the pianist. No a cappella singing will be allowed. Comfortable clothing and shoes should be worn for choreography and improvisational exercises.

“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” chronicles the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The six young people in the throes of puberty are overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves. They learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser.
