Club gears up for annual sale

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Ski Club will host its 28th annual ski sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 6, at Mt. Blue High School.

The club expects to have more than 2,500 items including downhill and cross country skis and boots, snowboards, poles, helmets, clothing and other winter recreation items. In addition to used equipment there will be four ski shops with new equipment.

The ski sale offers families an opportunity to purchase affordable winter recreation equipment. There will be volunteers from the club to help properly fit equipment.

Used equipment can be dropped off for consignment at the high school from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5. The fees are 50 cents per item put in the sale. If the item sells then the Farmington Ski Club will retain 15 percent of the sale price. There will be volunteers to help tag and inventory the dropped off equipment.

Also during the sale, the club will offer a one-day sale on club membership and season passes to Titcomb Mountain. Individuals can receive $10 off each person for alpine or combined season passes and $5 off each person for Nordic season passes.

Farmington Ski Club membership has benefits including discounts for children programs at Titcomb Mountain, $10 anytime discount for full day tickets at Saddleback Mountain and one voucher for day tickets at either Sugarloaf or Sunday River for club members 17 years and younger.
