CMCC instructor featured in leadership book


LEWISTON — John Brubaker of Lewiston has been selected from a nationwide search to be featured in “Leadership: Helping Others to Succeed,” a highly successful book series from Insight Publishing. The recently published book features former U.S. Sen. George Mitchell, Dr. Warren Bennis and former U.S. Congresswoman Pat Schroeder. They are joined by other well-known authors, each offering time-tested strategies for success in frank and intimate interviews.

Brubaker, who currently teaches public speaking at Central Maine Community College, brings 20 years of experience in leadership development, team building and coaching to his work as a performance consultant and speaker. Author of the forthcoming book “Overtime Victory: Success Strategies from the Locker Room to the Board Room,” Brubaker uses a multidisciplinary approach to help organizations and individuals develop their competitive edge.

Prior to launching his consultancy, Brubaker spent more than a decade as a college lacrosse coach and professor. He has appeared on ESPN Radio and Fox Sports as an analyst and commentator. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a master’s degree in personnel psychology, Brubaker has also completed doctoral level coursework in sport psychology at Temple University.
