R. Worthley: Where was survey taken?

I read recently where there was a survey about gay marriage. The survey results indicated that Maine people were overwhelmingly in favor of gay marriage.

My question: Was the survey taken in Ogunquit and Portland? If so, it was understandable.

It sounds like propaganda to me.

At least once a week for the

At least once a week for the past month or so, we have been visited by a 'survey taker' or we've received a call from a 'survey taker'. They ask a few meaningless politically oriented questions and, usually around the 4th or 5th question, they get to their point, which of course, is, "Are you in favor of same sex marriage"? When I give them my response, then they want to know why I chose that position and the fangs usually come out for an all out debate. They're not out 'surveying', these people are enlisting supporters for their cause, and would probably engage in hand to hand combat if allowed to stay long enough. These people are deceptive and combative, and I thoroughly enjoy throwing them off of my property, or hanging up on them.

I live in Minot

And I would have answered "for" gay marriage if asked. It doesn't matter where one lives, only how one feels. And Ronnie... In this case an eye for an eyr isn't cool. It only brings your point down to the letter writer's premise. It isn't right to lump an entire town's population base into the words of one individual who lives there.

And I think Mr. Cote would

And I think Mr. Cote would also agree that that 'individual' is entitled to his opinion on the subject matter.

So, if I'm reading your post correctly, a viewpoint in opposition to yours constitutes ignorance on the part of the dissenter?

And the survey about 'Sibling Marriage' in Roxbury, Maine...

Robert.

Have they released the results on that one yet???

Hell, if same sex marriage

Hell, if same sex marriage passes, sibling marriage will be the next step of progression up the ladder of incrementation. Anyone who thinks that same sex marriage is going to end the demands of the gay crowd is living in a bubble. I can see heterosexuality becoming a punishable offense.
