A Lewiston firefighter approaches a man lying at the intersection of Howe and Pine streets Monday afternoon.
LEWISTON — A man was injured in the downtown area Monday afternoon when a woman began to drive away as he attempted to enter her car, causing him to be dragged along the ground, according to witnesses.
A woman walking her son home from school around 2:30 p.m. said the man was a passenger getting into a car outside the nearby Community Credit Union on Pine Street.
The driver stepped on the gas and sped off before the man got into the car. The man was briefly hooked to the car as the woman drove off. He landed on the pavement.
The witness said the man and the woman driver were seen driving through the credit union's ATM before the man went inside the bank.
The woman driver did not stop as people rushed over to the injured man.

See what happens....
See what happens when the boyfriend won't give up the PIN, at the drive thru?????
